Our Services
Our services are listed below, however, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
LAMENESS/SPORTS MEDICINE
Regular flexions and lameness exams are helpful to prevent injury and maintain peak performance. We recommend an exam every six months.
EQUINE REHABILITATION AND PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATION
Several of our veterinarians are certified in equine performance and rehabilitation. We excel at diagnosing changes in your horse’s movement patterns, treating him with the latest, scientifically proven modalities, and creating a custom maintenance or rehabilitation plan to keep your horse performing his best.
“A good veterinarian is able to diagnose the source of the lameness and get the horse back to competition quickly; a great veterinarian is able to see variations in gait and performance before they lead to lameness and correct them as well as rehabilitate the horse after injury.”
– Dr. Todd Thompson

EXPERIENCE AND COMMUNICATION GUIDES BEST CHOICES FOR EACH SALE HORSE
Operating a large sale horse program and show barn for many years, I know a good vet when I meet them. TAEM consistently provides our clients and their horses with unparalleled medical expertise, superior communication, cutting-edge technology, and a team perspective.
TAEM’s real-world experience means that they understand the different choices that we make depending on if a horse is an investment or going to a forever home. I feel empowered to make the right decision for the horse because my TAEM vet takes as much time as needed to present knowledge and educate me in a manner that is straightforward and honest.
I also respect Dr. Thompson’s leadership abilities in the practice. Dr. Thompson has a phenomenal understanding of his associates’ strengths, he allows them to flourish as individuals, and also guides the team to further their education in order to better complement one another. We appreciate that the vets do their research on new or alternative treatment options and embrace what works best for the horse.
